Şişecam Glass Packaging has won the WordStar 2017 award in the World Star 2017 Competition held by the World Packaging Organization with its Kestane Natural Spring Water Bottle in the "Beverages" category, designed by Şişecam Glass Packaging Design Chief Eda Yılmaz.
The competition received 291 applications from 35 countries.
The Kestane Water company aims at maintaining being "a classic of Istanbul”. So, Kestane Bottle which is designed for restaurants is inspired by the symbol of Istanbul, the tulip. In restaurants, handling is important when serving. Narrowing below the shoulder of the bottle, the tulip figure provides an easy handling.
The awards ceremony of the competition has been held on 4 May 2017 at Düsseldorf, Germany during the Interpack Fair.
